Thank you for ur great comments on my paintings in the "drawing boy" folders.
They are all done before 2000 when I was a kid. I have made some pratices on colors and sketch.
Some of them are very narive!
It's been a long time not see you. you know,everyday I am drown in the study. endless and
studpid! I have had enough of that. So I came here occasionally for some funny things here.
I hope I can pass the exams this year. then I can come here everyday then.
Ok I gotta go! I have to ransack the Internet and hunt for an affordable room to rend

The grey highlights in the hair of the Squaw are made by a white pencil and/or white thick almost dry
gouache with a pure tough bristles brush.

For years I had been struggling to find out how to create " lurex silver/golden wires" in the blouse I like so much..
tadaa now finally got it Grin

Well, it SEEMS that I am comfortable by the use of the different media...SEEMS.
I am still frightened with every stroke that I'll ruin the case - it happens occasioally that everything ends up in the bin or is rinsed away with the garden hose so that I can use the paper again, only if it is good quality paper Wink

But hey... it sure is a great hobby, when one can get out and just spend some time looking around and goofin'. When ya aren't looking for anything in particular, you get to see all kinds of things. Then perhaps, a little cropping and resizing, will make for some fine images.

I thanked you and the other mods, in our forum, but I'd like to personally thank you for all your efforts. I've been absent more than usual due to my increased workload, exhaustion and pain, with the arrival of Spring.

He uses a different technique which is not traditional, I meant like what they teach us at regular classes. Thankyou so much for your comments on my recent paintings though, the 'Rainbow Storm' is not an acurate photo as, the photo was dull and didn't have the true colour, so I increased the saturation which brought out colours that I didn't know where in the painting; perhaps I should work from the photo now and copy the exagerated colour; the thing is. 'Rainbow Storm has no deliberate brush strokes; it's my new style, like allowing a ghost to paint it for me. The photo of the 'Doggy' painting is a good representation; I find it easy to paint animals with short hair. Thankyou so much for popping by; I also uploaded some of Terry's new paintings. You obviously need a basic idea :) for painting something like the magic_mushroom painting. In this case it was a mushroom but my other paintings are often influenced by the sun, nature and love. From an idea you start painting the rest comes up as you go. Just how the wind blows sort of speak ;)

Thanks for the comments on the paintings.. Pitt pastel is something you may like to try.. less messy than normal pastels as they present like pencils and with a harder .. so less messy.. pastel in them. I love them for drawing.

I quit drawing and painting, and took up needlework and crocheting. But when I got a computer I got interest in art and collected some from the internet. And then somehow started painting in mspaint. Hi Susha, the sketch and the poem I wrote is kinda of spooky, I guess that might have something to do with the comments not able to go more than a line, one of my friend who commented on my poem also told me the same thing. Well may be it’s a technical glitch. I drew the lady in a rough sheet from a photo I had in my computer, then I took 2 hours to make the charcoal sketch of the lady, later I again made a rough sketch of the man on the bike in another rough sheet and did a charcoal sketch in another 1 hour’s time. The background took 2 hour’s to do, so the total sketch took 7-8 hours stretch on a Saturday night. Thank you so much for the wonderful comments. Truly. Prasad

Thank you.. I just use a small travel iron as a rule.. make sure its a flat iron not a steam one! Oh, and a soldering iron.. and a couple of old knives and a candle ;) Childrens crayons are ok to have a go with, without spending a lot, but the concentration of pigments in encaustic waxes is very much higher, plus they have a stable melting point.

It was larger and allowed for better detail. Although it isn't the main theme of this video, it appears as just a snip, towards the end when the 2 whale's teeth and the walrus tusk are shown together. I hope you are finding time for creativity or just some peace. I've been going through some esnips downloads and I wish people would put some details in the properties of their files, atleast the artist's name, so easy to enter with the right click menu. But atleast the file name is always there, unlike photos, which tend to have a bunch of numbers if downloaded the wrong way and it's a nightmare trying to find them if you lose them. A painting, for that matter any work of art done by an artist had involved lot of effort and time for creating it and the LEAST a person can do is ask the artist’s permission before uploading it into their folder and give credit to the person who has created it. You have even added my daughter Anushka’s pencil sketch art to your folder without even mentioning her name. She is 8years old and I can tell you this has distressed her immensely. I have been on esnips for the past two years and never had to ever face this. If you like a painting you can always favourite it which is what everyone else has been doing.

Hi Susha.... You are right, the engine house picture with Rainbow was high on Bodmin Moor at a place called Minions. Minions is a barren exposed East Cornish Village high on Bodmin moor famed for twin stone circles... its a very mystical place and the barren moors over my shoulder from where I took the pic go on for many miles. The landscape has many Bronze age, Neolithic features coming right up to the engine houses of 100-200 year age. Its a place I have been a dozen time and every time I find something new.... last time it was a lonely 1000 year old carved Celtic cross 2 metres high leaning eerily by an overgrown pool, just seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Occasionally when the wind blows and the cloud is low it really feels quite frightening and that you are trespassing in someone elses past. A true thrill like a spiritual connection. There will be no bird song and overwhelming urge to look over your shoulder as you walk.... just in case. This area is also famed for the beast of Bodmin incidents where wild large black cats roam the moors (they have been seen), they may have been released onto the moors and bred after the dangerous animals act was introduced here a few decades ago. Weird but Wonderful place.

Thanks again Susha, unfortunate that I received insults from a tackless friend and sanded the baby portrait down. I will do it again when I learn a bit more. The same thing happened to the nude painting; in future I will not show anything to that person until it is finished; atleast the portrait of Vicky is appreciated by even the worst and most tactless friends, who weren't even born when I was selling paintings. I had a quick look at your works; to me they show such careful attention, which is something I lost a long time ago. Now I must finish as quick as possible because I wake up the next day without any skill, or the wrong attitude. Atleast this handicap forces me to work quick.
