Captain Dick was NOT a Miwok, but a Paiute. .jpg in The Pioneer Cemetery In Yosemite Valley
Charlie Dick Born 1857, near Mono Lake, California. A Piute. His wife was Mary. A sister was Sally Ann. Which means that Yosemite Chief Dick was a Paiute and not Miwok.
