This song is inded Lataji's first playback song which was released as a record. It is from film "Aap Ki Sewa mein" released in 1947. Music was by Datta Davjekar. This film had at least two more songs by Lataji. As for Kalyani's comments, Lata for a very brief period did sing a few songs in the style of Noorjahan but only in a very few songs. This song is is sunng in the style of a Thumri which is one of the genres of light classical music. The recording is very poor. However if you listen to a better quality version, you can see the begining of the phenomenon of Lata Mangeshkar.
