Wednesday, February 04, 2009
"Noosiwqa" (food) preparation, its origins, nourishment, medicinal, cultural exchange, gathering traditions as well as spiritual thought about how food is valued in Hopi culture is the focus of a new revised printing based on an old recipe book retitled "Healthy Hopi Recipes/and Native Edible Plants." This was a partnership project between the Community Health Program at the Hopi Tribe, the Hopi Lavayahi program, Hopi Range Management program, Hopi Pu'tavi Project, Inc. and the Native Peoples Technical Assistance Office at University of Arizona.
