In 1982 I was born in Pécs (HUN) by the name Peter Papp.
Despite the fact that I was born in Pécs I was raised in Szekszárd (HUN).
The actuality of the matter is that because of my upbringing in small cities far from our cosmopolitan capitol of Budapest, the actual sense of success and the love of music became an every day necessity for me. After years of dreaming about the future I finally took the matter into my own ands and bought my first DJ set. The next step in the odyssey of DJ Vinylplayer was to not only practice on my new set but also get closer to new surroundings which embed music daily. Therefore, I decided to move to the Budapest.
I have been living in Budapest for 5 years now, and luckily I have been receiving more and more DJ acquaintances’ that have been kind enough to promote my music as well.
A lot of people ask me what my style of music would be categorized in; however it is difficult to pick one. I’m more diverse then to to do that. My mixes are mixed from Deep to Progressive all the way to Electro. Because of my leniency towards different music I am able to move around much more efficiently musically.
One thing which I’m very keen on doing is playing to a crowd which is more open to music; I like to see the reactions of those faces who understand what’s going on, and await new and creative music.
My name Vinylplayer is the offspring from my old name translated as (Black record player) because of my constant usage of vinyl’s. However as I move quickly like the evolution of technology I also started to invest in digital formatted music.
The milestones’ of my carrier is basically using my time in promoting my music on International and national internet sites focused on upcoming DJ’s and of coarse the occasional performances in front of smaller crowds.
