Great news.
We need more and more police officer like Shri Arvind Pandeya. You won't believe how seamlessly efficient policing has become at least in Tirhut Commissionary. Last year in october during my visit to native place in Bihar I found myself behind bars momentarily on some cooked up charges at behest of one of my neighbour. When I questionted the police inspector about charge on which I am being arrested he lost his temper claiming he doesn't need any he can do whatever he wants even my passport can be cancelled. For a second I got scared yet convinced myself that it's after all not Laloo regime where well-connected people can get anythign done so I kept insisting about the charge on which I am being booked and gave some empty threats too that I am going to take matters with higher authorities. Honestly speaking I myself didn't beliv my words that a general rank and file can get anythign registered againsst the transgression of police officer. I even contacted one of my friend practing as a lawyer in Tuis Hazari court andasked him whether any writ can be issued to the effct of violation of fundamental rights against the police officer concerned. His advice was to forget it because this won't serve any purpose. At this stage I thought let me try my luck and actually write to the higher authorities. To my great surprise the police officer was reprimanded severely and within a month even a new law came up where you can get your grievances addressed through emal particualry in tirhut commissinery. Since mr Pandeya is DIG of Tirhut commissinery going by his efforts to make policign seamless I assume it was done at behest of Mr. Pandeya. Anyway to cut long story short suddenly the local polilce which used to harass my parents living there have suddenly stopped its activities.

We need more and more honest police officers like him who really strive to make people's lives less cumbersome.
