I am a refugee from Pakistan. I did my Matruculation from Kanpur U.P.in the year 1957 and my graduation from Imphal College under Guwahati University in the year 1963. I continued, against all odds till 1967, my post-graduate studies in English Literature and for this I had to leave Imphal and stay at Guwahati University Hostel.  I had a very humble beginning and my life has been full of struggle. I have been running a chemist shop namely Punjab Pharmacy for more than 18 years, doing business of medicines in retail as well wholesale, in Paona Bazar Imphal (Manipur). But now I am permanently settled in Delhi.

I love songs especially from old movies, as they are comparatively meaningful and melodious. I love songs especially sung by K. L. Saigal, Talat Mehmood, Mohd. Rafi, Mukesh, Hemant Kumar, Manna Dey, S. D. Burman, Kishore Kumar, Nur Jehan, Suraiya, Shamshad Begum, Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar.

I love ghazals sung by Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh Chitra Singh, Talat Mehmood, Chandan Dass, Anup Jalota, Malika Pukhraj, Tahira Sayed, and Peenaz Masani.

I love Punjabi songs sung by Gurdass Maan, Jagjit Kaur, Surinder Kaur and Asa Singh Mastaana.
