boathouse
written and recorded primarily over two weeks in a boathouse off of lake Simcoe during the summer of '96. I played anything I could get my hands on (including and old Jacuzzi tub). It's my first real project and the master cassette tape is pretty sick. This project has made it as far as Japan, Israel, China, Denmark, Gemany and North America on pirating alone...It's all live mic with the effects done with the tascam.

Robokitty a 52 piece Requiem
An improvised Requiem. preformed and recorded by J.Alexander Smith, Michelle Polak and Lyon Smith under the name MKUltra. 1999 three minute impovs based on a series of articles in the Toronto Star that focused on ominous events in nature. Multitracked onto a cassette tape through a Tascam 4 track. Later mixed by Thomas Ryder Payne.

a project I recorded with the intention of besting my own Boathouse album. 1999. I don't think anyone liked it but I think a lot of it is pretty good. Recorded with a four track on to a cassette. Mixed on to DAT.

i have bags and bags of music on cassette tape masters. it is my effort to mix and master the best bits....some tracks appear on different projects and some never saw the light of day...some are on finished and some complete. all recorded on a 4 track some time in the 90's...
