The Beatles cover. This song was originally released on the double-record set, The White Album, and later as a single. In trying to record this song, John Lennon walked out of the studio on more than one occasion. He had words about the song that would NOT be found in any dictionary. He came into the studio one day totally lit and banged on the piano saying "that is what THIS song needs' and THAT is the very piano used on the song Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da. This is my cover of that Beatles song.

Roy Orbison cover. This song came from the LAST record album 'Mystery Girl', made by Roy Orbison, posthumously released on the Virgin label in 1989. It is listed as #5 on the album, AND reached #5 on the Billboard 200 charts. ALL tracks were recorded in 1988 and it was released by friends and musicians who admired Roy Orbison. Here is my version of this little known, but NICE song...'California Blue'

Fats Domino cover. "Blueberry Hill" is a popular song published in 1940. Music was written by Vincent Rose, lyrics by Al Lewis and Larry Stock. It was recorded six times in the 1940's. Glenn Miller had the biggest from the 1940's recordings, followed second by Jimmy Dorsey. It was an international hit in 1956 for Fats Domino, and has become a rock and roll standard. Here is my cover of Blueberry Hill trying to keep the sounds and style of Mr. Domino's HIT song.

Sam Cooke cover. "Another Saturday Night" is the title of a 1963 hit single by Sam Cooke. It reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 list, #1 R&B and UK #23. In 1974, was made as a cover by Cat Stevens, and it reached reached #6 on the charts. Here then is my updated version cover of Sam Cooke's 'Another Saturday Night'.

The Beatles cover. "Octopus's Garden" is a song written by Ringo Starr with a little help from George Harrison (although it is credited solely to Starr, as "Starkey"). It is featured on The Beatles' 1969 album Abbey Road, and their later albums The Beatles 1967-1970, Anthology 3. Harrison commented: "'Octopus's Garden' is Ringo's song. It's only the second song Ringo has ever written, mind you, and it's lovely." Here then is my cover of same song.

The Beatles cover. This is a really nice song by George Harrison from The Beatles' 1969 album Abbey Road. The song, one of Harrison's best-known Beatles contributions, alongside "Something", originated from a songwriting collaboration between Harrison and close friend Eric Clapton. Here is my cover of their cover of "Here Comes The Sun".

Billy Idol cover. This is a song originally by a band released in 1981. It was one of their first true hit singles. At the time of its release, the band changed their name. Also note, the band contained one Billy Idol from the original line-up. Idol went on to have great success with the single when he released a more pop friendly cover on his first solo album release, "Don't Stop". Here then is my cover of Billy Idol's cover of "Dancing With Myself".

Bill Haley & His Comets cover. This song is originally a blues-form rock and roll song written in 1954 by Jesse Stone under his assumed songwriting name Charles E. Calhoun, and originally recorded by Big Joe Turner. The most successful version was by Bill Haley & His Comets in the mid to late 50's. The song is ranked #126 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Have a listen to my cover of Bill Haley's cover of "Shake, Rattle and Roll".

Smiley Lewis cover. Mr Lewis was the FIRST to record this song in early 50's followed by many others including Fats Domino, Gale Storm and many others from that time on. This version is the style of Dave Edmunds recording made around 1970 and went on to be #1 in UK around 1972. Hope you enjoy it!
