I have just recovered from severe laryngitis and the first song I am recording after a long, long time. This one is to fulfil a wish of an e-snip "friend" to whom I had said that I would give a shot singing a female song. This one was sung by Asha Bhonsle and composed by my favorite, O P Nayyar. I hope I have been able to do justice to this song.

My favorite composer, O.P.Nayyar, is no more! His songs have brought me hours of listening pleasure and I think that there is no composer who could match the melody of O.P.Nayyar. Here is a humble attempt to sing one of his compositions, originally sung by Mahendra Kapoor in the movie Kismat, in 1968. May O.P. Nayyar's soul rest in peace.

contrary to what you say in your intro, you ARE a very good singer, with a very soothing and mature voice. Just heard your Aye Mere Pyaare Watan, and I must say you did sound like the original singer (was it Mahinder Kapoor?). Only that the volume of your vocal track should have been raised, as your voice was barely audible. Even your rendering of Dilbar Mere was quite nice and different. Your voice is better suited for Rafi, Mukesh & Mahinder songs. But nevertheless, keep singing and entertaining one and all! Also appreciate your sincere efforts in making so many karaoke tracks available for all. I'm a Kishoreda fan, who loves to imitate his voice and singing style. If you've got the time, do check out a few of my numbers and leave your comments. I've only recently started recording and mixing songs, hence, my newer uploads are much better quality-wise.
