My wife, Jan, has had cancer 4times in the last 7+ years along with heart attacks, and the list goes on and on. She is now confined to a wheelchair (electric, thank God)and I am her 24/7 care giver.
I started dating her when she was 15 and I was in the Navy. I am now 73 and she is 69. We were raised in a small town in the Catskill Mts. of New York State. So small it only had 1 school, which we both attended, and 1 traffic light.We have known most of the same friends since we were kids.She has fought to stay alive for our 50th and made it .
In December 2008 we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary during our 50th trip to Disney World.
She is still my sweetheart and lover. When I sing this song it says it all and is our favorite.
